Hello Dave
Looking at the census I think William Morgan's birthplace is shown as
Llandingat (sometimes Llandingad)
This is the parish that covers Llandovery in Carmarthenshire.
Unfortunately there are quite a lot of William Morgans born about that
date in that area.
You have the date of his marriage so presumably you hab ehis marriage
certificate.
In which case you will also know the name and occupation of his father
which will help to pick out the right one.
Regarding Ann her birthplace is not so clear but it could be Llanycrwys
Carmarthenshire.
Hope this helps a bit
Pat

My MORGAN ancestors, William MORGAN(S) and Ann LLEWELLYN (and
variations) were
born in Carmarthenshire in the early
1800's.
They later moved to Monmouthshire in the 1840's, married on 15
December, 1845 in Tredegar, St George, in the parish of Bedwellty.
They had a number of children subsequent to that time and the family is
enumerated in the Wales Census;
1851 - HO 107, Piece 2448, Folio 693, Page 16 Household Schedule 41, or
Monmouthshire, Parish of Bedwellty, Village of Ebbw Vale.
1861 - RG 9, Piece 4005, Folio 20, Page 2, or Monmouthshire, Parish of
Bedwellty, Town of Ebbw Vale.
1871 - RG 10, Piece 5325, Folio 5, Page 4, or Monmouthshire, Parish of
Bedwellty, Town of Ebbw Vale.
Also In 1871 this MORGAN family emigrated to America and so the trail for them
in Wales ends.
My problem is I cannot determine the towns or parishes where they were born. My
interpretation of the places of birth found on the census returns do not
correspond to locations found at the GENUKI Gazetteer. If I am able to read or
guess any birth locations from the Wales census, that may be found on the
GENUKI Gazetteer,
they are so widely spread out over the entire county that I am unable to
determine a specific area to search for the birth or baptism of William Morgan
or Ann Llewellyn.
I am hopeful someone can read

and determine some of the birth locations in the census returns that might
focus in on a particular area for
me to research.
I am always hopeful that someone might recognize this family and may have
already determined the information that I am seeking.
As always, any help or direction provided on this matter is most appreciated.
Thank you.
