Hi Linda
The census returns that are available to us are
1841, 1851, 1861 (parts missing) 1871, 1881 and 1891
There was a census in 1831 but these records were not kept - the only way of
locating people before this is in the parish registers, Chapel registers, in
estate papers, wills, bonds etc.,
We cannot have access to the 1901 census until the year 2001/2 - unless you
have the full address that you wish to view, and then there is a charge...
hope this helps - normally Davies spelt with an 'ies' is normally Welsh - or
so I always thought..
anyone know any different??
regards
Pauline James

I've seen this article about the census, but since my search is in
DAVIES/DAVIS, and thought they were Dutch/Irish, and don't know from where
they came over, I never considered Welsh nationality. Also, I need census
in or before 1809, when my first recored DAVIES was born in
Kentucky/Tennesse USA. Do you know of any?
Thanks,
Linda

Good morning Pauline.
It is sunny but quite cold here this morning.Roll on the summer!!!
no I haven't heard from anyone who has purchased the census
themselves.This
is the reply I had to my query as to the completeness of the
census.It
seems
hard to think that a company such as this would give false
advertising,but
then again ,I suppose you never know!!I always expect the best in
people,my
husband despairs sometimes!!!! but I have very rarely been let down.
and
on
those few occasions, well I am known to have a fiery Welsh
temper!!!!!!!!
til next time

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, this is the full 1851 census for
England and Wales, and yes we can accept payment by check.
However, the check must be in U.S. funds. Your bank should be able
to tell you how they can do this for you.
