Hello,
I have just recieved the death certificate for my gg grandmother Rosina
Flavin 1933. And had a couple of questions relating to the certificate.
Place of death is registered as 82 Ann Street, would this be a hospital
or a private residence?
Informant to her death was her daughter Elizabeth STYFER (Lizzie) 28
Ropewalk Rd. Llanelly.
Elizabeth STYFER as associated to a candy company by marriage?
I am trying to locate any relatives to Elizabeth Styfer with the hopes
that I can break through that very thick brick wall and carry on with my
family history.

A little bit of wrong information in my previous e-mail.
I found John STRINGER, 28, confectioner b. Birmingham WAR, in the 1851
census not the 1891 census - my apologies. He was living with his wife Leah
who was from Monmouthshire.
Coincidentally, my ggg uncle and his wife were living in Ann Street (in an
area of Llanelli called the Wern).
Ropewalk Road is on the river estuary side of the railway line, about
three-quarters of a mile (as the crow flies) from Ann Street.
No FLAVINs, STYFERs or STYLERs in the Llanelly 1851 census index.
There is, however, a B.V.Flavin living at 3/6 High Street, Tenby,
Pembrokeshire (1996 phone book for West Wales).
Having checked the street map of Llanelli I am fairly sure that there was
never a hospital in Ann Street. I used to walk from my aunt's house to the
railway station along this street - it is (or was) a typical Llanelli
street with houses that didn't have a front garden (yard) - the front door
opened straight out onto the pavement (sidewalk).
