Pauline,
Hello, I was very excited to find your e-mail address on the web.
I have a line in the family tree that stops in America with a G-G-G
Grandmother who came here from Wales. I was hoping maybe you could
help!
All I know, is that she came here around 1900? from a town
possibly called Newtowne. Her name was Emily M. Brombil (Brumbil,
Bromwell, Brumwell). If you have here listed, it would probably be
under her parents, I don't know who they are.
I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks for you
time!! Have a wonderful Holiday!
Sincerely,
Melissa
Hello Melissa
I have looked through the 1881 census for the whole of Wales and I found a
probable one in Montgomeryshire which Newtown is part of.
You did not say how old Emily was in your e-mail. I have one a year old who
is living with her grandparents a Samuel and Elizabeth Brumbel. There are
also 4 unmarried daughters living with them, so I do not know if Emily is the
child of one of those, or if the parents are away.
Would you like me to give you this census - it is the only mention of the name
that I have found!! They were born in Llanllwchaiarn in Montgomeryshire,
which is in central Wales.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Pauline James
