Hi Terry
Last time I was in the Registry office, they said they were all packed up
and ready to go the following week:
Research is going to be tricky in the RO - hope it does not take too long to
get everything organised - Caroline has told me that I can order registers
if need be ....
I looked through my marriages - not many John Jones' there ha ha....
Not one stated a weaver but then perhaps it was not on the marriage entry -
find some below I have only given years, if you find one or two that you
want the actual dates for let me know. There are more than this, but I have
not included the ones when an occupation was given
1784 John Jones and Ann Morgan Conwil Caeo
1784 John Jones Llandebie and Ann Williams Bettws
1790 John Jones and Ann Morgan, Llanon
1791 John Jones and Ann Rice, Penboyr
1791 John Jones widower and Ann Edward widow, Llandilo Fawr
1792 John Jones and Ann William, Llangendeirne
1793 John Jones and Ann James, Llangeler
1795 John Jones Llandilo Fawr and Ann Griffith, Llangadock
I only abstracted from the years 1785-95 as you requested -
speak soon -
Pauline

Hi Pauline,
I thought the Registry had moved but it was still in its original location
on Thursday last week.
The way things are going with the record office move I think Easter might be
more realistic!.
To take you up on offer of lookups, I am looking for the marriage of John
Jones(!), possibly a weaver, to Ann c1785-95 in Carmarthenshire, probably in
the parishes to the east and south east of, and including, Carmarthen town.
Terry

Hello All
if anyone is requesting look-ups from Carmarthen RO it will be a bit
difficult because they are in the process of moving premises.
The record office will not be back to normal until at least January
(that's
the date up to now) although they will try and assist all they can
with
our
researching - I will of course help out in other ways if I can, books
etc.
I believe that the Registry Office has already moved.
speak soon
