Hi Elaine
Glad that you are finding more on your family -glad that the marriages I
gave to you were helpful - you ask about the burials - only we have indexed
the burials for Llanelli - we have all of Llanlly Parish Registers for
baptisms 1687-1832, burials 1693-1847, marriages1687-1837 on microfiche
which are for sale -
I have looked at the burials for you In St Elli Llanelli parish church and
yes, John and Mary Brabyn are there :-
29th July 1830 - Mary Brabyn Seaside aged 63
30th April 1840 - John Brabyn Seaside aged 72
You would be able to purchase the death certificates if you wanted - these
are the burial dates so they probably would have died a few days earlier.
The other three burials took place 2 in 1842 and one in 1847 - all three
were under 10 years old.... must have been the grandchildren of the above.
I know this will be of assistance to you, speak soon

Subject: Brabyn family of Llanelly ...revisited
Pauline James was so kind as to provide info about marriages for two of my
Brabyns, William in 1824 and James in 1834. I have found more family links
and would be interested in further marriage info on John Brabyn (1833) and
Elizabeth Brabyn (1830). I have confirmed that these individuals are part
of the same family that came over from Padstow, Cornwall. They were all
children of John and Mary Brabyn who I suspect were married around 1796 in
Cornwall. It appears the whole family moved to the Llanelly area between
1808 and 1824. There was mention of 5 burials in the Seaside area of
Llanelly pre-1850, and I'd like to find out if these included John and Mary.
Could Pauline or another lister check this info for me? Many thanks.
