There is also a Thomas Picton school in Haverfordwest.

Hi Gareth,
I have no links with Picton but have a library book out at the moment
which
features a pictorial history of Pembs. (not Carmarthen sorry!) I
picked
out
the following snippets for you.
There is/was a Picton Place running off Salutation Square Haverfordwest in
1906.
There is/was a Picton Road, Neyland in 1906.
There is/was a Picton House next to Hen Capel near the village green,
Maenclochog, c. 1929.
When the Pembrokeshire County War Memorial was re-dedicated in 1973, the
secretary of the re-dedication officials was a Mr J.E. Picton Codd of
Haverfordwest.
Happy hunting,
Heather
