Richard,
Thank you so much. Your efforts are much appreciated. I really enjoy your
additions, historical notes, general knowledge, etc.
Here's a giggle: I recently got a book from the library on "teaching
yourself Welsh". I've been studying for two weeks now and am still in the
"guide to pronunciation" section. I just noticed that the book is published
in the UK, so, of course, all the examples require that one already speaks
with a british accent!!! My Western American version of the English
language didn't help!
Even so, I think I'm getting the hang of the "LL" pronunciation: Place your
tongue as though saying "L" then grab your cat by the tail and jump
vigorously on one foot while trying to whistle. Sound right?
Many thanks,
