Dear Pauline
Sorry it is not the correct one - I have the 1871 and Thomas Arthur is in
St Peter's and a grocer married to Hannah aged 46 . My Arthur family were
either fishermen, weavers or some sort of trade like grocers or shoemakers.
The Arthur's were all very small, fair haired and fine boned and I don't
think they would have lasted long on the land!
It is all so confusing with my Arthur family. There are so many of them
all with the same names and living in 'village' Abergwili. It seems
worse than my Williams of Llanelli. I think I need to search for some
wills.
Perhaps it is too difficult to find the siblings of my David Arthur 1834.
David Arthur 1834 - died between 1861 - 1871 as I could not find him on
the 1871 census when I looked several years ago. In 1861 David Arthur ,
a flannel weaver, widowed was living with two children in Village
Abergwili - Ann aged 10 and William aged 16 (apprentice weaver). David
1834's wife Elizabeth nee Evans died before 1851.
If you could have a quick look at deaths of Elizabeth Arthur between 1841 -
1851 in Abergwili and for David Arthur between 1861 - 1871 in Abergwili
that would be great.
I will look on the NLW for any wills.
thanks
Diana
