Dear Joy
Good to be in touch after so long. Thank you for looking for me. I
saw that one yesterday and wondered. According to the census
information in 41,51,61 and 71 he was born c1796. I do have others in
other lines who are older when they are baptised. Perhaps I should order a
copy of the entry. I believe that I have a brother of Jonah's called
Thomas who is a master cooper in Abergwili c 1797 (they have one of my
Arthur family with them in the census and he married Jonah Jones daughter
Anne my great x 2 grandmother ). I will look for him in the St. Clears
register. Thomas gives his birth as Llandefeilog whilst Jonah gives his
birth as Llanfihangel Abercowin.
thanks again
Diana

Hi Diana
Has this already been suggested? It is a bit late if he married in 1818.
Bethelehem Independent Chapel, St. Clears
2 August 1805 Jonas Jones
This is taken from RG4 Piece No 4446 Folio 4 on TheGenealogist.
Unfortunately the actual image of the register does not give parents names
for any baptisms.
Regards
Joy

Hello Pauline - yes thank you that is his marriage in 1818 to Mary
Jenkins -
I have a copy of the original entry. I now have his death Jan - March
1879 but no burial or will. I don't think he left a will which is quite
surprising as he had his own business in Lammas St.
I think I am at a brick wall again with Jonah.
Diana
