Good-day again Elizabeth. I hope you don't mind me contacting you about
another look-up in the 1911 Census. The family I'm looking for is named
WILSON and the mother's name is Elizabeth Margaret nee Dooley. The father is
Charles Herbert Wilson. I only know of one daughter Rose Jane Wilson. Rose
is an aunt I never knew. She died 4 years before I was born. All I know about
her is that she was born circa 1903 London Essex England. She emigrated to
Australia in 1922 & married my uncle in 1923 in Melbourne.Sadly she died in
1931 in Brisbane. That's the limit of my knowledge of this Wilson Family. I
don't even know if she had any brothers & sisters. Charles the father worked
on the London wharves so I am led to believe but in what capacity is
unknown.
When I saw your name on the email this morning,I thought to myself this has
to be an omen.Elizabeth Wilson to look up Elizabeth Wilson & family. I hope
& trust that I have not overstepped the boundary line in making this
request.
Thanks again for John Hind's record. It was great. Looking forward to
hearing from you in one way or another.Until then, cheers, cheers and more
cheers.John Leahy in OZ.
Hi Jon,
I found this while googling John Hinds. It gives his coat of arms.
"HINDS of Neuadd-Deg (H. Coll., sr May, 1917).
Aztire, two conies in chief and a horse courant in base
argent. Mantling azure and argent. Crest - On a
wreath of the colours, a rose gules, slipped and leaved
proper, entwining a dibber palewise argent. Motto -
'' Oni heuir ni fedir."
Son of WilUam Hinds, of Cwnin Farm, co. Car-
marthen, m. , Mary, d . of David Jones of
Penronw, Carmarthen : -
The late John Hinds, Esq., M.P. West Carmarthen,
1910-23, Lieut. CO. Carmarthen, b. 1862; d. 1928 ; m.
1893, Lizzie, d. of R. Powell, of Cefntrefna, co. Carmar-
then : and had issue - William Pugh Hinds, Gentleman,
h. 1897; d. 1916; Gwladys Mary. Res. - Neuadd-Deg,
Carmarthen ; 14 Clarendon Court, Maida Vale, W.9."
There is a marriage for John Hinds and Lizzie in 1893 in Buckinghamshire,
but she is Lizzie Jones. The marriage in 1893 fits the age of the children
in the 1901 census.
Good luck,
Elizabeth
