HI Kelly
me again.....
The records for Laugharne are thus
baptisms: 1651-1974
burials: 1645-1972
marriages: 1639-1971
therefore I was wrong in saying we have burials from 1600, we have them from
1645 onwards!!
There are no existing earlier records for this parish, there are bishops
transcripts but they do not begin until 1672........with gaps
The only early records we have for Laugharne are the St Davids Diocese
Wills, 1564-1858 there are 3 Rogers listed
1609 Thomas Rogers
1680 John Rogers
1810 Daniel Rogers
Don't know if these names are of any use to you
regards Pauline

Subject: [CMN-L] John ROGERS "of Laugharme"
Hello, all :)
In tracing my paternal-roots (main-root, side-roots, and
feeders):
I ran across records on of a "John I. Rogers",b.1617 in
Laugharme in Carmarthenshire, on (I think)
ancestry.com.
John in SUPPOSED to have migrated to Jamestown from
Gravesend, England, in or about 1635. Are there any
records left, especially in Wales, to verify if this man
even existed?
Thank you for your time and any help given :)
