Hi Pauline,
Thank you for this information. I already had the burial of the
Daughter but the wife I didn't. Actually, you have been more
helpful than you think because I only had her as "Anne" - which appears
on the 1841 & 1851 census. So to learn that she was May Ann is something
of a bonus! I do have the baptisms, thanks, but I haven't seen any
directories though.
Is there something t=significant about Shaws Lane - Priory Street that
leads you to suppose the pipe smoking connection?
Thanks again
Les

Hi Les
I cannot find a burial for James, but I have his wife and daughter
St Peters burials
1822 6th May - Elizabeth Bush, Priory St (no age)
baptised 28 Nov 1820)
St Davids burials
1855 22 May Ann Bush, Priory Street aged 68
I have 5 baptisms to James and Ann, Pipemaker, do you have these?
Being as he lived in Shaws Lane and Priory Street, I would assume he may
have been a smoking pipe maker.....
Have you checked directories for Carmarthen Town?
