Thank you Mona, I will investigate further. Do you have any connection
to David and Sarah Rees who were at Capel Uchaf, Llanelli in 1841. T

There is a great chronology of Llanelli here:
http://llanelli-history.co.uk/chronology%201800-1899.htm
and I found this entry:
1872 Dr Henry Child Buckley was appointed Medical Officer and owned Bradbury
Hall.
The Stepney Estate granted a lease for ironworks, rolling mills, reservoirs
and workers cottages at Machynys.
There may be more useful info there for you.

Subject: [CMN-L] Laburnum Cottage
Hi List
Has anyone come across Laburnum Cottage, Sandy, Llanelly?
It is listed as the residence of Mary Anne Thomas, daughter of Benjamin
Thomas, workman in copperworks in Dec 1899, when Mary Anne married
William John Rees.
I haven't been able to find Laburnum Cottage, or Mary Anne or her father
Benjamin in the 1891 census. There is the possibility that Mary Anne
might be in service at Pwll. 1901 census shows Mary Anne was born in
Pembrey, living at 21 Prospect Place, Llanelli. Can't find Benjamin or
Laburnum Cottage in 1901 either.
