Dear Paul,
Were your Williams church or chapel? There are so many John William/s
in the 1841 Llanelly census including my line of John William/s.
It cannot be the same line as mine because my great great grandfather John
Williams 1834 is living with two sisters in 1841,
I am away in Rome at the moment but can look up limited information on my
return home. I only have the information on Adulam Baptist Chapel.

My ggggrandfather was John William. He married Catherine Bassett in
Llanelly Parish on April 21, 1829. John died in Tycoch, Loughor, Llanelly on
December 27, 1850 at age 47. Catherine died in Upper Loughor, Llanelly on
March 23, 1892 at age 82. In 1841 John and Catherine were residing in
Peullwynrodynfach, Loughor, Llanelly with their four daughters; Anne,
Margaret, Catherine, and Esther, and John's mother, Anne William (widow),
age 60. John had at least one sister, Margaret, who married Thomas Harry in
Llanelly Parish on February 5, 1836. Margaret was born about 1813. Would
anyone be able to assist me in identifying the parents or baptismal
information for John William and/or Catherine Bassett? The 1841 census
indicates that everyone was born in Carmarthenshire, but I cannot find their
records.
Thank you, Paul
