Hi, Sorry not been able to come on earlier.
Helen, thank so much for your help, and of course I understand I have no proof of where my
Evan was born, it is a needdle in a haystack!
Yes I did contact The Salvation Army and was told that unless my Grandparents were
Officiers there would not be any information, and that I would need proof that they were
in fact Officiers as they do not provide a search request.
All I know is that my Grandparents wee members whilst living in Lewisham and also in
Welwyn Garden City.
I remeber my father saying that there were family living in Treorchy/Tonypandy but that
was all.
I still have this feeling that Evan could have been married before as 50 years old for 1st
marriage?
Thank you all for your interest and advice
Susan

Susan,
Just a thought. You say you grandparents were both members of the Salvation
Army. Have you tried contacting them. They might be able to help.
Nancy
