Looking for information on the Welsh Baptists in the 1700's. My 3 great
grandfather, Daniel David, went to DE from Wales and joined the Welsh Tract
Baptist Church, the oldest Old
School Baptist church in America founded in 1702 by 16 people from Pemborke
and Caemrthen. He was "received" in 1749 from an unnamed church in Wales. I
have the list of the
founding members that includes several persons with the David surname,
Richard, Shonnet and James. Thomas Griffith was the founding pastor. Hoping
some information about
Welsh Baptist churches might lead me to some information about Daniel
David. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Rebecca Bromley
