Hello Liz
I am collecting Beynon information where I can but can't answer your
question re John's family in Llangendeirne at the moment.
As he left there so early it is not easy to link him to others living
there or born there without further evidence.
As you have evidence of John's marriage in Glamorgan - do you have the
details of the parish register entry? Does it give any interesting
witness names? and what was Elizabeth's maiden name?
Meanwhile as you are wanting to go back before 1809 can I take it that
you have all the information you need from the census years? i.e 1841,
1851, etc onwards?
If not I have found him in 1841 also living in Twynyrodyn (where my
father went to school many years later!!!) I will send you details if
you want.
Have you followed up all his children? - which one is the link to you?
Let me know what you have and where the gaps are and I will try to help.
If I can't help at once I will keep the info and let you know if I find
anything in the future.
Cheers
Pat

Hello,
John BEYNON was recorded in the 1851 census as being 70 years old, with a
birth place of Llanyndern [Llangendeirne]. We know that by 1809 he had moved
west into Glamorganshire, where he was married. However, we are trying to
trace him and his family back to Carmarthenshire and would be grateful of any
help that you can give to us.
Many thanks,
Liz
