Hi Joe
There is a membership book for Siloah Chapel from 1890 something to 1908
which gives a list of people who attended this Chapel. Cannot remember the
year the information is from, but I know that my great grandparents are there
plus their children.........there are also records of when they left this
chapel, my grandfather is there as 'left' when he moved from Llanelli to
Burry Port, also when people died.
There is a copy of this is Llanelli Library and also in Carmarthen record
office, you could ask them for a look-up if you so wished. What years are
you looking for??
I found this mentioned in 'Old Llanelly' by John Innes 1902
Some Noteworthy Inhabitants
All the foregoing would be indeed dry bones if some attempt were not made to
reanimate those who have lived and died here, leaving a mark on social or
commercial old Llanelly.
Rev. Thomas Davies (Siloah), a man of great worth, who has so recently left
us that it is not necessary to give any account of his life, or to mention
his excellence

I have a broken cardboard photograph of Elias Davies of Siloah Llanelli,
which reads
Er Cof Serchog Am Ein Hanwyl Weinidog.
Y Diweddar Barch, Elias Davies, Siloah, Llanelli.
I'd be grateful of a translation of this please.........
This man was killed by a train, I have read it in a book, but I cannot find
where I had the reference from - I shall have to look in the library or
through the information I have here.
does this help
