Dear Pauline, I am still pondering my PEREGRINE puzzle.
If HENRY PEREGRINE and HANNAH OWENS were married in 1810 in St Ishmaels
Parish Carmarthenshire when they were both about 20. There seems to be some
children missing after the marriage as the first child I have documented
from the Bethany Ind Chapel, Dowlais records was ELIZABETH born 1827, then
JOHN b 1832, ANNE b 1834, and the last I have on record is GWENLLIAN b 1837
all born Merthry Tydfil and all showing on the 1851 census. with parents
HENRY (b Kidwelly) and HANNAH (b Llangendeirne) both aged 61
There were also two on the 1841 census of Merthry Tydfil who could have been
their children: HANNAH 15 female servant born in Merth Tyd
SARAH 25 " " ?
This would fill in some gaps adding these two but I feel there would be more
somewhere. Would it be possible for someone to look up 184l census and
possibly 1851 in other areas of South Wales for these possible missing
children?
Other than this I don't know how to progress!
Thank you, Helen Harris
