Hi Pauline
I cannot be sure that this one I found on the IGI is 'my' Benjamin MORRIS -
he was the only one I could find on the IGI and it may well be him but I'm
being cautious as it's not such an unusual name ;-) I thought I had given
you the reference but anyway here it is:
Benjamin Morris son of Thomas and Rachel, bapt 6 March 1820 Abernant,
Carmarthen, Bwlch Newydd Independent or Congregational Batch C100631 Film
0056
Just a thought - while Benjamin got married in the Bethania Chapel, John
Morris married Phoebe Evans in the Parish Church of Merthyr Tydfil in 1837.
If he had been brought up in the Independent Church tradition might he get
married in the PC if Phoebe was of that persuasion?
Kind regards,
Karen in Hants, UK

Hi Karen
Did not realise that he was baptised in Bwlchnewydd - did you state this
before - this is in Newchurch parish which is the neighbouring parish of
Conwil Elved - lets hope we can find them both here.....
Pauline
