Hi again listers,
No luck with my first posting of Rees Thomas b.1807 Carmarthen so here goes with my second
problem.
In 1881 census I have:
David JAMES, age 46, a coal miner living in Deri, Nr Bargoed.
His place of birth is given as "Cmn. Brychfa". The childrens names are, William
Benjamin, Jane and George Morgan (probably after his mother, Mary Morgans).
I have been unable to find the marriage of David James and Mary Morgans to get farther
back.
A local informant in Brechfa with 1851 census details told me that a David James, s/o
James and Mary James, farmers, lived at Brynteg farm Born in 1831 the age differs by 4 yrs
from the 1881 census but more importantly the 1851 David was buried in Brechfa churchyard
in 1876, aged 45 yrs. Obviously not him then!
Does any kind person have access to the 1841 census or baptismal records that might give a
clue please?
Thanks,
Peter Bowen
