Hi,
Just a suggestion.
Why not subscribe to TheShipList ?
Same procedure as this list, send a mail to:
TheShipList-L-request(a)rootsweb.com
with just the word "subscribe" in the text.
I'm sure someone there will answer your query.

Subject: [Cmn-L] Sailing ships
Hello all,
I wonder if anyone can help me with the following.
I have all the details of the ship of which one of my ancestors was master,
name, size, type, cargo capacity etc. Unfortunately the ship was lost in
1889
and as far as I know there are no pictures of it.
I'm afraid my knowledge of any vessels is nil but I would like to find a
picture of a similar ship. Does anyone know of a website or agency that
could
provide me with a picture of a similar vessel from the information I have.
Many thanks
Happy New Year
Heather
