Hi,
I am trying to trace the Marriage of Evan Evans a Carpenter of Blaenwaun to a
Catherine, maiden name unknown.
I assume the marriage to be previous to 1837 as their eldest child
Elizabeth's baptism
was possibly 4th November 1837, she was buried on 2nd December aged 5 months
putting her birth in June or July of that year. The family were living at
Blaencastell.
I do not know if that is a dwelling or a Town or Village, neither do I know
in what parishes these places are in.
There were possibly other children baptised from this marriage as follows:
David Bapt. 28th December 1838
William Bapt. 9th August 1841 in Nantcwnlle
John Bapt. 17th February 1845 - Family at Blaenwaun
Elizabeth Bapt. 23rd April 1848 (buried 29th April 1848 aged 1 year) family
living at
Aberdauddwr.
Evan Bapt. 2nd March 1856
This information comes from the Ceredigion Archives, but there is no record
of this marriage anywhere in that county pre 1837, thus I wonder if the
marriage took place in Carmenthenshire. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
Ray
