Hello Christine
In answer to your question - they are not the same area - but not too
far apart.
Anyway - you should not expect christening always to take place in the
parish where people happen to be living. They often go quite a distence
to a church or chapel either where they were born, where the wife was
from, or some other reason.
People moved around quite lot it those days , certaining in this part of
the world they did.
Now back to HECTOR.
With names like David and Mary there are often rather a lot of couples
with the same names - however there is one household quite near to
Hector in Llannon that may be worth investigating - the surname is
shown as Huges - but that is just an odd spelling I would think.
Here is the entry:-
Enum Dist 9 page 1
Pentre
David Huges 70 Farmer
Mary " 26
Rachel 24
Josuah 22
David 20
Thomas 18
Charlotte 15
All shown as born in county.
Hope this helps
Pat

Hi Pat.
Is Llannon and Llangendeime in the same area?
You recently forwarded me the 1841 Census for Hector Hughes, age 25, in
Llannon. I have found a birth in 1816 which would match his age of 25.
Hector Hughes - 13 Feb. l8l6
Llangendeime, Carmarthen.
If Llannon and Llangendeime are in the same area could you look on the 1841
Census for the parents of Hector:
David Hughes
Mary Hughes .. the only location I would have reference to would be
with the birth of Hector in 1816 and they were in Llangendeime.
Thank you, once again Pat.
Regards,
Christine
