This Original Red Brick building was built in 1772 by Sir William Mansel,
The Bricks were imported from Bridgewater, (Somerset) by sea via Kidwelly,
and used in the new residence.
Sir William Mansel (9th Baronet) died in 1804, and the mansion was sold to
General Sir Thomas Picton. The Picton family resided here for several
generations and sold the property in 1917.
It was used during the 2nd World War as an ARP work & storage. Later let as
flats, which soon after became vandalised
