maybe its because it was called by the name of the parish which is
LLANDINGAT and not by what we know it as Llandovery.......
Hopefully this is the correct answer - if not Pat P will know....she is
really brilliant on 1881.....

you are right! That is so odd! I don't think its the spelling of
Llandovery, I managed to find lots of people born there, but no one still
living there.
Looks like part of the census is missing maybe?
