Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi Dianne
The burial in the index shows the death was registered in the Llandovery
district - do you have the death certificate? Was he living in
Llandovery at the time or in another place in the district?
Have you followed him in the census? I had a look at 1851 and the
nearest match for a David lewis of about the right age with a father
David also about the aright age was in Merthyr Tydfil at the time
although avid and his parents David and margaret were all born in
Llandovery - is this the family?
If we know more about him we can make can better guess as to where he
might be buried.
Cheers
Pat

Hi Pauline
I had a reply from Carmarthen Registrars today. They are taking up to 4
weeks to reply at the moment due to volume of enquiries.
I don't have an idea of a surname unless it is Francis or Arnold (just
guesses) which is why I wanted to browse myself. I didn't understand
what you meant when you said it was available on the online website.
Can you give me a URL for that please.
Peggie

Hi Pauline
This is the problem. My William Morris just says born Carmarthen c1834 so I don't know whether he really means Carmarthen or just anywhere in the whole county. He was the son of Thomas Morris a coal miner and I can't identify them conclusively in the 1841/1851 census.

Hi Les
Her name was Anne.....the month of her death was May, sorry to confuse
you....
Shaws Lane and Priory Street was the trading part of Carmarthen Town....that
is why I am assuming he maybe had his own pipemaking business? Just a wild
guess...
I will see what directories I can find for that time..

Hi Peggie
The box cemetary M.I's are rather large to add to the website, it takes up
424mb of space....its available as a download, but that is on the online
website....
Do you have a possible name, or even start of the surname so that I could
look for you
If you have not had a reply from Carmarthen Registrars send them a reminder.
Pauline
