Thank you Pauline for your response to my questions on the death of ELIZABETH VAUGHAN.
She married MORGAN VAUGHAN 16/08/1793 parish Llangendeirne, she was Elizabeth Lewis a widow.
I am working on the theory that the MORGAN VAUGHAN that married MARY HOPKIN/WILLIAM Cadoxton 8 nov 1802 may be this same MORGAN VAUGHAN.
It is possible that this MORGAN was born 27 may 1765 in Llandefaelog, Carmarthen.
The VAUGHAN family moved to Llangendeirne by 1774 where they continued to have children.
The only death in the Carmarthen burial index is for MORGAN VAUGHAN in 1822, age 84, parish Llangunnor. It is possible that he was the uncle of the MORGAN I am looking for.
MORGAN VAUGHAN/MARY HOPKIN are living at Neath Abbey where most of their children are born, apparently they were working at the iron works between 1803 and 1817.
The records I have came from LDS family church records supplied by one of the sons of MORGAN VAUGHAN.
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Pauline
Thanks very much for the offer of a look up.
Are they indexed under name? What I mean is, how easy /quick are they to
look up because I have no idea of dates of death.
I don't want to ask you to do something which will take hours!

Hallo
I'm researching Glyndwr Rhys Morris. His father was a
miner called David Morris and I've found a birth for
Glyndwr Rhys Morris on Ancestry: Carmarthen Q1, 1910,
Vol. 11a, Page 1366. As there are so many Glyn Morris
entries, I wonder if you can see if the father is
correct for this entry? I don't know the mother's
name. I don't want to send for the birth certificate
and then find I have the wrong person!
When Glyn married my Dad's cousin, Annie Helena
Hughes, in Dec 1935, one of the witnesses was Penry
Morris, clearly a relative of some kind.
The other witness was James Elias Hughes, who I think
was my grandmother's brother. There's a James Elias
Hughes who was born in Carmarthen in the last quarter
of 1887 and, in the 1901 census, there was a James
Elias Hughes working as a yardman at Pantyglien(?),
Abergwili, although he is listed as being 18. If he
was my grandmother's brother, his parents would have
been William Hughes and Eliza(beth) Davies.
Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi Sue
so sorry about your bereavement, please accept our condolences.........
be happy to have you back on board, and try to find out more information.
After my mothers passing, strange as it seems but the people she wanted to

Hello Pauline
Could you help me with a query?
I noticed that you are indexing the burials for Llandeilo fawr and wondered
if they will be put onto the CFHS website at some point.
Thanks very much,
Liz Ford
Shwmae John,
Regarding your request on information on Edward Edward.
He's my 3x great grandfather, and like you I haven't managed to find any record of his death.
During my research of the Llandilo parish records I believe his parents were David Edward, born 30/04/1759 and Elizabeth Rowland, born 29/12/1760, and they were married on the 8th of October 1782.
I also found a William Edward who was Edward' brother.
Hope this will be of use to you.
Hwyl
Kelvin
Hi Huw,
I checked the 1930 census for you for Bessie Ferry in Virginia, US. It says she was born in Virginia. If I might suggest a spelling I helped someone out with once. Is it possible the name could be in records as Ferree?

Hi Pauline, thank you for your help, I have checked the |BMD and all the
Census from 1871 onwards, she only appears once in the 1891 census. I did
cime across a Bessie Ferry b. 1877 who lived in Virginia USA and died in the
early 1970's, I cannot confirm if this is the same person. I guess I will
have to give up on this person for the time being
many thanks Huw
Hi Pauline,
Thanks for your offer to help further. I may well get back to you!! At the
moment I can see no definite way forward in Carmarthenshire, although it
might help if I could find William's parentage and where he came from. He
mentions property in several areas of Carmarthenshire. As I said, I am
trying to follow up any possible clues. It might help to know what happened
to the niece Mary, after William's death, but this would be like looking for
a needle in a haystack I fear.
I need to establish the connection between William Jones and the family of
David Williams, timber merchant of Machynlleth. After that I have to
establish the connection of the Williams family with my known forebears,
Ellis Evans and Jane Hugh. I think I shall be busy for a while.....
Thank you again for your interest and help.
best wishes,
Pam
I have tried looking in all manner of places for the 1861 census figures for
Llandeilo/Fairfach. They haven't got them in Carmarthen. Do they exist or
was there a nasty accident to some of the Carmarthenshire figures?

Hi John
Thanks for your support......as you know we have indexed 1841 and 1851
census. I do not subscribe to ancestry so it is not their indexes I use,
but the ones that CFHS members and myself have taken the time to
index......as you may remember 1851 took me nearly 5 years!! members came
and bailed me out, then took over doing 1841 census for us........
We can also talk about anything that we think may interest listers, I
believe that if we can help anyone we should.....we have lots and lots of
helpful listers who are willing to help in any way they can
thanks Pauline

Hi Pam
glad that I could help, the information is from CFHS census
indexes......which members indexed.....
Is the Benjamin Brock living with William in 1841 his grandson......it looks
like Benjamin Brock snr and Eliza were in Brecon in 1841 as that is where
they were born......have you tried there?
Glad that it is the correct burial too........do you want me to look for
anything else?
Pauline
