I do not have anything that early......only from 1813 onwards
Penboyr parish registers begin as follows:
baptisms - 1752-1901
marriages - 1752-1970
burials - 1752-1947
The B.T's for that parish have gaps
1674-76; 1678-9; 1701; 1703-04; 799-1812; 1819; 1823-26; 1828-80; 1882
The above B.T's are on the IGI for christenings from 1799-1875
sorry I cannot be of help

Good morning Pauline,
Do you have any parish records for Penboyr please? I am looking for Griffith Jenkins who according to the Oxford Alumnii is of Penboyr. He is the father of John Jenkins 1770 - 1829 who was born at Cilbronnau Farm, Llangoedmor, Cardigan the vicar of Kerry, according to his obituary. I found his marriage to Mary Griffith in 1738 on the CFHS website. It is his birth that I am looking for.
thanks
Diana
Hello to all fellow members,
My name is Jennifer, I live in France but on my father's side, I have ancestors in Wales in Monmouthshire and Camarthenshire.
I'm particularly looking for the following :
Benjamin JONES said to be born in either Llanbyddar or Llansawel, Camarthenshire around 1813 (Information gathered from Census returns 1841 to 1881).
He married a Catherine, which I think could be Catherine BROWN, on 02.06.1834 in Lanbedr Breconshire. She was said to be born in Llansawel Camarthenshire around 1814.
In the above mentionned Census returns, I have found some of their children :
John born c 1837 in either Llanelly or Brynmawr Breconshire
James born c 1840 in Breconshire
Sarah born c 1845 in Aberystruth Monmouthshire
Benjamin born c 1849 in Aberystruth Monmouthshire , but said in 1881 census to be born in Llanelly Breconshire
Mary born c 1854 in Aberystruth Monmouthshire
Benjamin born 1861 in Aberystruth or Nantyglo Monmouthshire
Mary Jones married Samuel WILDING on 12.07.1876 in Llanhilleth Monmouthshire. They are my great grandparents.
Should anyone be able to help me find the parents of Benjamin Jones and Catherine Brown I would be very very grateful, having found nothing whatsoever through IGI which could match.
Best regards to all
Jennifer from France

interred in Hollenback Cemetary..Back in the day kin were most likely to be the

Thomas,John Williams,Daniel T. Roderick, and three grandchildren of the deceased
named severally Daniel James...Also noting Minstrel article I have a Wm.H.
Williams who was son of Morgan B. Williams...Bill Williams

Hello All,
Reading your rainy day posts, I thought I'd share a bit of our weather---
Flood video from the TV station:
http://www.nbc15.com/home/headlines/9246611.html
However, our house is on top of a hill, so we are ok--as is the city we live in--it is the surrounding areas that are under water and some have been evacuated. There were about 6 deaths, too. And it is supposed to rain until Friday, although there was some kind of bright round thing in the sky for awhile this afternoon--anyone know what that might have been?

Glad to see that some of you have had a look and hopefully found something
of interest, on the DyfedFreeGen website.
If you are happy with what is available, tell your friends other lists etc,
the more the merrier.
Regards
Richard
YES ,can i send you an attachment of the flooded street ,to one of your private emails

This info is from a small book I have about St. Martins Church. By Iola E.
Thomas.
Not sure if I have posted this on this site, so will post it.
One of the oldest memorial stones in the church is set in the East wall of
the porch.
It used to be on the North wall of the nave just above a pew at the corner of
the second window from the chancel.
It says
"Here lieth the body of Kattrin Sare who died in 1619"
She was probably the wife of Sir Thomas Sare, Porteeve of Laugharne in 1661.

Hi all
In the Llanelly burials shown on the website that someone mentioned the
other day it has for 1849:-
15 burials of Cholera patients chiefly at Forge and along the Lliedi.
That certainly is in the Llangeneirne direction so maybe the Lliedi was
the source of their water.
Cheers
Pat
