Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Can SKS help please? I'm trying to locate the birth of William DAVIES born
circa 1822 in Carmarthen St. Peters. All I have of his family is that his
father was John DAVIES - this was on his marriage certificate. A witness was a
Margaret DAVIES - this could be a sister?
I do not know his mother's name.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Helen

Does anyone know if a list or photographs of monumental inscriptions
from Capel Newydd, Llanelli is available? I am particularly interested
in those for the family of my gg grandfather Richard Charles (R.C.)
Jenkins (1851-1913).
Thanks

Liz.......looks like to have the digest as you used to have it they have changed the system (did not know about it)......I have found out now, let me know if it works, but no messages here lately.
We are now on list9 and it appears to be having problems.....also it seems to be blocking AOL......
If anyone is having problems, please come direct to myself.
Hopefully the change-over will be finished soon, then all the creases can be ironed out.....

Your list does not seem to be working properly following the changeover.
As you'll see below, all the messages are listed twice, and in the digest
version I used to get a list of the topics in the subject line, so could
just open those I was interested in. Now you have to scroll down the whole
lot, which I really don't have time for!
This hasn't happened with other lists so I suspect it is something that can
be corrected.
Best regards
Liz

Hello Pauline and All,
Can you tell me where Llanwrda is in reference to Llandielo Fawr? Is it a hamlet or does it have a parish of its own? If my grgrandfather was born there would he have been baptised in Llandeilo Fawr?
Thank You,
Ron

Hi Ron
Can see John and Jane baptising their children in Llandeilo fawr parish
church.......there is a good possibility they will be buried there too.....
It is your John Rees in 1851 from Llyshendre
A member of CFH Society is currently indexing Llandeilo fawr burials for the
online indexes for members to locate their families.......she completed the
Baptisms from 1813-1900
Remind me what I have given you and what you still need

Hi Ron
I have looked at the 1871 entry, it states he was born Llanwrda
Carmarthenshire, Jane was born in Llandilo...have you found him in 1861?
It is also saying that the head is an Elizabeth Hughes from the previous
page, but she is schedule number 51 then a space then on the next page is
John Rees lodger with Jane daughter.......he is listed above Jane, he is not
lodging with her, so probably with the Elizabeth Hughes an ag labs widow
Did I look for a baptism of Jane Rees in Llandilo for you
Pauline

This one works. Thank you. I think the normal address is OK now. I must
