I had it all planned. The match was shown live here in WA in the middle of the night, so I determined that I would watch the replay at 7 am. Prior to that, I would not put the news on so that I would not know the score.
Alas, typically "Murphy's Law" intervened. Innocently I read my morning mail...and there were three letters there telling the world the wonderful news. Oh joy, oh! frabjous joy.

Hey Judith,
SNAP, I couldn't sit still either, your brother was shouting 'marvellous,
marvellous'. I had my Welsh Flag laid out on my settee, I couldn't be in Wales,
but Wales was with us.
What a feeling, tears, laughter and joy. Congratulations to our Welsh Team.

Good morning Pauline - I bet the sun is shining in Malta! Thank you for
offering to help.
I am looking for the marriage of Jonah Jones born 1801 according to the 1841
census living at St. Peter's Carmarthen. I will give you the others on the
1841 census as I hope it will help.
1841 address Magazine Row.
Mary wife 1801
Thomas 15
Maria 13
Edward 9
Ann 7 (my great great grandmother)
Frederick 4
Robert 2
I assume therefore they got married sometime before 1826 Judith who has
been helping me has found two marriages for St. Peter's . 1. Jonah
Jones marrying Mary Jenkins 29th September 1818 at St. Peters Carmarthen
2. Jonah Jones marrying Mary Thomas 24th October 1820 at St. Peter's
Carmarthen. I suppose it would be a good thing to check to see if the
children are there as well if it is possible. I know Ann born c 1834
(from several censuses) was born in Carmarthen Town. I know that the
other children were born in Carmarthenshire but I am not certain that it was
in Carmarthen itself but I suspect so.
Thank you once again.
Diana
Hello Everyone - does anyone have the parish records for St. Peters Carmarthen to look up a marriage for me. I have two brides and don't know which one it is!!
Thank you
Diana
i AM WONDERING WHETHER YOU WILL BE KIND ENOUGH TO SEARCH THE 1851 CENSUS FOR THE FOLLOWING.they appear in the 1871 census at dowlais glam but born in Carmarthenshire.
Catherine Thomas age 32,John thomas age 4,Sarah thomas age 2, and Thomas Thomas age 9.I have worked these ages from 1871 census. No father is shown so he must be deceased in 1871.Also could you tell me whether Newchurch would have been in Penboyr in thar era/
Many thanks

Can any kind person help with my headache?
Is it possible for SKS to give me a list of all the Elizabeth Davies's born
1874 in Caio including parentage. Father possibly John Davies, mother
unknown but could be Margaret or Elizabeth Davies (nee Davies). Does anyone have
access to birth transcripts/parish cds??
Many thanks
Regards
Helen
Hi Julie
You could check with Carmarthen record office first to see if the marriage
was by banns or licence, if by licence there will be no reading of the
'banns'.....so you could spend a lot of time looking for something that is
not there..
You have the date and year their email number is
archives(a)carmarthenshire.gov.uk
hope this helps Pauline

Leonard Jones appears in the 1851 census, living with his mother Elizabeth
Evans Jones at 1 Forge Row (Raby Arms) in Llanelly. I believe the family
also appears in the 1841 and 1861 census documents, but I have not found
them. Probably they were at the same address in 1841. If a surname or
street index is available for those census documents, I would like to know
about it. Or, if anyone has folio/page information on the family, I would
like to know that.
My ultimate goal is to find out about the parents of Elizabeth Evans and her
husband, William Jones. I have scanned the Bishop's records and the few
Nonconformist parish records available to me, but have found nothing. Any
suggestions would be welcome.
