digital Images, I hope to have Pembrokeshire, Monmouthshire, Glamorganshire,
Cardiganshire, Breconshire and as many of the Welsh 1841 Census Images
online as soon as possible, We already have Carmarthenshire 1841 & 1851
census Indexes online [don't confuse the difference between Images and
Indexes, the images are the enumerators pages scanned photographs of the
actual pages], also Glamorganshire 1841 & 1851 census indexes and many more
indexes/Images of Carmarthenshire, Wales & England.
At this time membership to the CFHS & UK Genealogy Online data is £10 for
30days, £15.00p for existing Members and £20.00p for new members, for a full
year.
On January 1st 2006 membership to CFHS will be £20.00 for all, there will be

Any member will be able to View/Print/Download any digital Image from the
Census which are online, I will also be adding Non-Conformist register
digital images which we have, plus lots more Indexes/Images of
Carmarthenshire, Wales & England.
Carmarthenshire 1841 Index is just about complete and should be ready in a
month or so, Current Members are also going to begin transcribing
Pembrokeshire 1841 Census when Carmarthenshire 1841 is complete, it has
taken indexers only a few months to get the Carmarthenshire 1841 census
transcribed, which really is a great achievement.

I was interested to hear that a number of
non-conformist chapel registers have been indexed. Are
you by any chance considering indexing Hebron Baptist
Chapel in Llanfihangel ar Arth?
I am really interested in this chapel.
Thanks

HI Diana
Thanks to you for all your help in making the Society so 'great'.........we
are so lucky to have such friendly helpful members....so thanks to everyone
too....yes at the start of the year we did not even envisage 1841 census
Carmarthenshire being done, let alone nearly completed only 3 parishes left
to complete the 78 of them.....
Adulam will be a good one to have as it is such a jumble of a register, and
to have it translated into english is even better.......
I have just sent Llandeilo fawr baptisms to Terry in Carmarthen record
office from 1813-1903 which Shirley Layer has completed (thanks Shirley) for
the Society as every index we complete is also donated to the CRO......we
are taking on Trinity Church Felinfoel next........ I am currently indexing
Carmarthen Town St Peters parish church baptisms - I have already completed
the burials from the first to the last register so am now going to do the
same with the baptisms......we have volunteers to do the non-conformist
chapels for Carmarthen which will be another ongoing project.....
Plus members want to index Pembs 1841 for the online indexes......I will
sort that in the New Year...
So all in all its all go at the moment, Richard has created the on-line
indexes which is such a bonus for us all, information is being added all the
time as each project is completed......census returns and all our parish
registers can still be purchased on CD ....
If anyone wants to know what is on offer with CFHS go to
http://www.carmarthenshirefhs.co.uk
Thanks again Diana......

Hello Tomi - do you have them in the 1851 census at all. I have looked
there and I can find only two entries with a Henry Lewis born 1840 plus or
minus 2 years with a mother Mary.
Diana
Hello List,
I need to find a husband and wife living in Carmarthen Town in 1841. The
wife is Mary LEWIS, the husband in 'unknown' Lewis and there may be a child.
I am looking for that family and a son Henry b. c1840.
If anyone can help, if you have any possiblities, please email me.
Tomi Larson
Oswego, New York
Please can anyone check the 1861 census for Hannah Davies born between 1856 /1858 gives on one census that she is born in Ystradgynlais but possibly born in Carmarthenshire/Breconshire or even Glamorganshire Her parents are Jane Davies born 1830 (to confuse sometimes called Jinny) and possible dad David Davies.
Thanks
Althea

Would some kind soul with access to the 1841 Carmarthen census please look
up a MEYRICK family. The head of family might be James or a widowed Ann(e)
MEYRICK, along with a son, Richard, who would be about 15 years of age and
born in Carmarthen.
This request is based on the IGI entry of a Richard MEYRICK, born 16 Aug
1825 and christened 10 Sep 1825 at the Soar/Zoar Calvinistic Methodist
Church, Llanddarog, Carmarthen, as the son of James MEYRICK and Ann SAMUEL.
Thanks.
