Hi Barbara
Thanks, when you say Royal descent - from whom?
Henry VII was born in Pembroke Castle, which means he was a Welshman......
I have some information on Swansea.....if wills 1564-1858 Swansea came under
St Davids Diocese and the Bonds and fiats, so if you have a question for
this place, please ask..
regards Pauline

Hi Pauline....
Many thanks for your quick reply. Was wondering if when you had a chance
you could check the 1851 census again for me. I'm looking for a William
MORGAN , son of David. (On the 1881 census he was 45 yrs) born Llandeilo,
Carms. To date I've not been able to confirm if there were siblings or his
mothers name.
Also looking for Elizabeth (betty) DAVIES, Not sure of parents (1881 census
she was 46) born Llandeilo. She had 2 sisters: one named Anne and 2
brothers: John and Thomas Eben.
I'm hoping that they were both still in Llandeilo during this census.
I have their son (William and Elizabeth's) Dafydd being born in 1857,
Llanguick, Glamorgan.
TIA
Andrea

Hi List
Reference my request regarding LUCE being used as Gwenllian, today I had it
confirmed
from a researcher in Neath Glam.
That LUCE meaning light in Latin/Italian was used instead of Gwenllian which
also means
light. Saved me looking for a second marriage to LUCE especially when
Gwenllian was still alive.

Hi Pauline
Just to confirm I am getting you mail, once I have a comple surname index
file ready I will contact you,
to see how you want it forwarded. first time I have done this, it may not be
what you require.
Comma delimited file is a raw data file where each separates the column of
data
it should be possible to import it into any DB or spredsheet programme. I
import
mine into a Lotus 1-2-3 spread sheet
It is quite everywhere, today I am researching at GFHS Aberkenfig.
regards
bryan
Hi Pauline,
I have noticed the list seems quieter than usuall. Also just had your reply
re registry CRO lookup. I have noticed sometimes when I reply to mail, its
sent back to me within a minute or so, other times up to a day later!
Will call or mail the CRO, not sure what the marriage I want is on. Maybe
will try and call there next week.
Had a 2 hour power cut yesterday as well......suppose we are lucky here, we
didn't get much storm damage, although my uncle did have a slate off his
roof which hit his car.
Hope this rain clears up, need to out later,
Thanks again
Theresa

Good Morning Pauline,
Great news for me, I have located all of my Davies, Evans, Clements and
Mathias's
on the PART 2 of the Census also some relatives that I thought were in
Llandilo-tal-y-bont so that was a bonus.
Thanks a bunch,
Anne (Canada)
Pauline, i replied to you via Pat with thanks to you both for help with
Benjamin on 28/10, really useful. very carelessly i have lost your info. on
him from the 1891 census -sorry to be a pain but very grateful if you would
send again.
yours contritely, david.
Hello Jan
I have discovered two Llanfynydds. One is in Flintshire but the one I
suspect that interests you is about six miles North West of Llandeilo
towards Brechfa betwixt the Rivers Cothi and Dulas.
I hope this helps

Hi Theresa
yes, they take postal orders, although they charge for the p&p which is
understandable....
I think the cost is 80pence if you collect and an extra £1.50 if they
post....I am unsure on this one......
Was it on film or the actual register....if on film they will just print out
the original from there...
If you send them an e-mail they will let you know how to go about it....
I'm there on Friday - well as it stands now!! I am really getting to grips
with indexing St Peters burials....we have from 1670 something to 1838
now.....as I am typing they are checking it out and then putting the
transcript onto the shelves instead of the actual register, as these are
very fragile....
horrible weather today.....hope all is okay with you today..Pauline

Dear Therese, thanks for your help and offer. According to 1901 Census, George Davies possibly born 1888 Ferryside. Emily Mary Davies (nee Moore) possibly born Aberdare Glam. 1890. I'd put their possible marriage date between 1909 and 1916 but this is guesswork. All I have to go on.
Thanks again, best wishes, George.
In Andrea
Looks like William changed his occupation from 1851 census.....
1851 Llangunnor enu dist 3a sch 41 page 14
William Griffith head marr 25 bootmaker born Llangunnor
Esther Griffith wife marr 22 born Abergwilly
David Griffith son 3mth born Llangunnor
These two married in Llangunnor parish church on 14th November 1850 -
William Griffiths and Esther Evans
This will be in the parish registers of Llangunnor, or you could purchase
the certificate from Carmarthen Registry office.....or request the original
photocopy from the Carmarthen Record office (I'd go for the photocopy as if
they could sign their names you'll have reference to it also a lot
cheaper)....
I'll see if I can find any baptisms for you
hope this knocks down the brick wall......regards
Pauline
