Hi Chris
For a start I think you can discount Pembrokeshire - not one Hardcastle was
baptized between 1813 and 1837 in that county.

Hi Listers
Resubmitting my interest in the Barry family. I know Edward (father) and David (son) Barry came to Carmarthen in the 1850s from County Cork (I believe). Interested to hear from anyone researching this family name in Carmarthenshire or adjoining counties.
Thank you for any information given.

Hi Pauline!
thankyou very much for the info on Stephen Thomas,(he was a Labourer on his daughter's marriage cert not a fisherman)(have you got a Stephen Thomas and family living in Carm,in the 1851 census) I dont think Susanna fits as his wife?his daughter Esther was born in 1829? ,she gives her age as 52 in the 1881 census and birth place Carm, St Peters,.Esther was married at the end of 1851,so she would still be single on the census.(the Esther you gave me living in Union Street looks good).
hope you can help

Rochdale in lancs this is a long shot but I do hope that sks could help me I
am trying to locate a
MARY ANN HARDCASTLE DOB 31/4/1828
The only thing that I have is that she was born in Wales I do know that
Wales is a big place but you have to start some where
I would like to know where she was born
Thank you all

Hi Pat
As you now know I am chasing John's for someone (Pembrey and Laugharne)- I
have found quite a lot in Capel Sul Kidwelly registers - these records also
cover Sardis Trimsaran burials which is a Chapel in Trimsaran itself with a
large graveyard. It is a very good register for baptisms and
burials........we also found the graveyard for Capel Sul today - apparently
the old Chapel was on the hill out of Kidwelly towards Llansaint - the
burial ground is still here, the headstones are hard to read, and lots have
brown stains over them.....The new Capel Sul (C1920's) is on the bridge over
the Gwendraeth in Kidwelly town
I'll keep my eyes out for you.

Hi Richard
My continual search for David John/Johns/Jones died 1857 - could he be
listed?
Also Catherine John born Nov 1831 died young as another Catherine was
born in 1835
Similarly James John born Sept 1834 must have died before the next james
was born in May 1839.
Thanks

There was only one marriage in St Peters Carmarthen for a Stephen Thomas....
27th August 1816 St Peters parish church Carmarthen
Stephen Thomas parish Llangunnor and Mary Thomas St Peters
The only one between the years of 1820-25 was to a Mary Davies in LLanon

I'll see what I can find in 1851 for you......this could be them - there is
a Stephen Thomas widower of LLangunnor marrying in 1829.

Hi just came across these few - it's not Thomas Francis but Francis
families - when I asked the secretary in charge in Box Cemetary there were
300 + Francis'
Rees T Bowen, 100 Pembrey Road, died (bu farw) 26th April 1928 aged 65 also
Jane his wife died Rhad 12 1946 aged 80 ??
Is this yours Barry - it was 80 something for her age - only sure that it
was 80 something....
now for Jane and Libby
John Francis Burry St Seaside, died March 23rd 1888 age 72 years also Ann
Francis died 25th Feb 1901 aged 80
John Francis Brig a Don Sandy died 1st April 1922 aged 63 also wife Jane
Francis died 31st Aug 1938 aged 78.
John Francis died 5th Feb 1922 aged 58 also Catherine Florence Francis 1954
(no age)
John Francis Prospect Place died Sept 8th 1893 aged 58 also son Thomas Rees
Francis died 27th Jan 1952 aged 64 - also his wife.
Do these relate to either of you two?? No Thomas Francis turning up
yet.....
speak soon Pauline
In preparing a query about the family of Jane Rees, who
married Evan "The Miller" Evans in 1845 at the parish church in Llanelly, I
noticed an oddity. Jane's father, a "copperman" and his family lived at
"Felinisa", according to the marriage license and Evan's father, John, also a
"miller", lived at Capel Newydd.
It seems to me that the MILLER would be living
at FELINISA (Lower Mill) not the "copperman", unless FELINISA is the name
of an area of Llanelly and not the name of a particular dwelling. Does anyone
know or was there an error in the original entry or the
transcription.
