Albert Porter Carman and his 1st wife Martha E. Thompson had a child in about
1858-1859-ish. According to AP's obituary (May 3, 1906) , the baby only lived 6
months. After Martha and her sister Lizzie were tragically drowned on July 4, 1873 in
Green Lake County, Wisconsin, AP lived for awhile with his brother-in-law Gardner Green
and Gardner's wife Mary Thompson [a sister to the late Mattie and Lizzie). AP married
2nd to Aurelia Estella Service in 1881 in Green Lake County, Wisconsin, and within a very
short time (a year or so), went to Cowley County, Kansas. AP and 2nd wife did not have
any children. Anson had I believe 8 children between his first two wives. Am working to
see about descendants now. Simply don't know about Currie. She came out to the 1912
reunion in Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas, and was photographed with her brother Anson,
but I do not believe she lived there. Anson died July 14, 1914, quite unexpectedly, at
1123 Lynn Street, Winfield, Cowley Co!
unty, Kansas, at the age of 89. Contact me for more specific details.
