David--
As we have mentioned in previous emails regarding L.I.friends email to me
and to you, there have been some problems in
Carman research on the net, and, unfortunately, the list is moderated for
the moment. I did not forward your first email but replied to you
privately asking for a private reply. Your second email was not forwarded
to the list either since it was a reply to my private email. I replied to
your third email privately. I have presumed that you are seeking
information, which I have given you. I hope this is okay with
you. If not, I will try to forward the emails and cut-and-paste to make
your email and the subject as correct as possible. Previously, when it
also becamed necessary to moderate the list, there was an objection to
this as censorship, and it is a lot of trouble for me.
Perhaps I should have answered your question more fully about the early
wills in NYC.
My own searches for 18c documents have been discouraging and I have heard
that it is best to hire a professional to search out these documents Most of these
documents, I
understand from professionals, are uncataloged. I have never tried
writing for the information, but you might try if you feel one of these
is an ancestor of yours.
Thank you for your interest.

Does anyone know if the mailing address that was
posted for Carmans dying in New York City, is correct?
Also, I am having problems accessing the marriage information web site. Anyone else
having the problem or is it just me.
I saw Patricia's reply to my original message but my message didn't seem to make
the list.
Thanks in advance, DJ
