Hello Patricia and all....I have been accessing the LDS site and when the
server is not TOO busy, I can usually pick something up. The on-screen
instructions are simple enough to use....I just go there and enter in my
names. I am sure that when I am bored enough, I will actually READ the
instructions....I know I am not taking full advantage of what is available
on that site. I hope you and everyone on the list is well! I received
some not so nice news a couple of weeks ago...my 5th great Grandfather,
Thomas Carman of Bloomingdale NJ, built a house there in 1780, and rebuilt
it again in 1820 on the same site....it had been standing proudly as
Bloomingdales oldest residence until March 7th, when a tenant occupying the
property left a pot on the stove to answer the phone, and forgot about the
pot. The house is now completely destroyed and my cousin (who is a
Volunteer fireman there) says that it will more than likely be torn down. I
plan a trip up there to try and salvage something from the wreck. I was
sick when I got that news and the picture.....another Carman place, gone up
in smoke! At least I was inside and took pictures of it inside and
out.....at least I have that. Well, later, David

the public now, would you post to the list? It looks very promising
but looks like it needs a guide.
