Geri-- Just looked up the 1991 Robert Anderson article on John-1 Carman
and see Anderson refers to refers to John Kirman/Carman during the
1631-1643 period when he appears in Roxbury and Lynn, Massachusetts
records as a Freeman and a General Court member. Other Plymouth Colony
records mention a John Cannon/Carman generally not considered to be the
Hempstead Carman.
There are also some web pages and posts with John-1s chronology and a scan
John-2's will which show the dates and family members associated with the
traditional John Carman genealogy.
This will be an interesting search --
Let me know if you find anything on the Carmen with an E surname.
Regards, Patricia
