CARMEN. dau of James Aikley, and widow of Silas CARMEN, born July 3, abt
1796; died abt 1885. When she Married Mr. Ryerson she already has two
children by her first husbandSilas CARMEN, one of Whom Sarah J. CARMEN,
Married Thomas W. Fowler and became the mother of the Reowned Dr. George
Ryerson fowler,late of Brooklyn,NY.

Jesse Ryerson son of Cornelius Ryerson and Catherine Van Cott was born
about 1802 died about 1850. He was murdered by thugs while returning to his
home on evening after compleating a business transaction from which he
received, or was supposed to have received, a considerable sum of money.
Mr. ryerson was a contractor builder. He inherited part of his father's
farm and resided on the old homestead lots, on Long Island. He married
Susan CARMEN, and had 8 children.
