I have a copy of a newspapter article about the CARMAN family.
I don't have the name or the date of the newspaper article, but you may have
some guesses. I am it's from a newspaper near Rochester, NY in the year 1931.
Remember, its a newspaper article, so don't expected to be accurate. But some
of the information may be of some value to someone.
Here is what it says:
****************************************************************
Carman Family Marks Its 300th Anniversary.
The 300th anniversary of the Carman family's arrival in America was celebrated
at Sunset Point, Durand-Eastman Park, recently by 35 descendants of John and
Florence Frodham Carman.
The couple arrived from England with other Puritans in 1631, settling at
Hempstead, Long Island. Later, Samuel and Peter Carman came into Western New
York and were amoung the pioneers of Monroe County.
These officers were elected at the reunion:
President, C.H. Carey, Livonia;
Vice-President, Edwin Reed, Rochester;
Secretary, Georgeette Willetts, Rochester;
Treasurer, Lula Hall Van Alst, Union Hill.
The 1932 reunion will take place at McPherson's Point, Conesus Lake.

I hope this provides some leads to someone.
