The surname of Florence, wife of John Carman, is often given as Fordham
and references are made to Rev. Fordham as being her father. Most
contempoary researchers do not give a surname for her. Another commonly
seen name is Dummer, but no proof has been found.
This is a repost of a June post from Helen Silvey. She did not have
the source in her files. I have edited it slightly. If anyone recognizes
this post and knows the originator would you please post to the list.
Also, if anyone can identify the WSC reference to Florence as being the
sister of Rev. Fordham, would you post that.
As always, please post any comments, or corrections to the list.
