Thank you Patricia for informing us that subscriptions to
Carman-l are closed. I would recommend passing that word to
unsuspecting subscribers who send subscription requests before
they are left hanging for a response for days. Second, you probably will not
receive subscription addresses, if you don't advertise for subscriptions.
If the list is closed then I would suggest removing the subscription
application
from the Carman Cluster page.
Why is the list closed to subscriptions? By being closed to
subscriptions, the
list would be a private list and should not be openly advertised for
subscriptions.
Nor should a private list have its post made available to the public. I am
rather
confused regarding the intent of having it closed and public at the same
time. Can
you provide some elaboration?
It's getting hard to keep up with your email addresses.
listmaintainer(a)yahoo.com (are you replacing your lister(a)yahoo.com email
address with this one?)
calebcarman(a)yahoo.com (Is this for web issues?)
Regarding up coming changes to the lists, I read the last two
months of Listowner posts (over 700 this month alone) and did not
pickup any definitive initiatives towards the mail lists. Could
you enlighten us on the general intent of the changes since the
listowners also do not seem to be enlightened?
Thanks again, Daniel P. Carman
P.S.
Do you wish to have list issues addressed to listmaintainer(a)yahoo.com or
one of the other email addresses?
