Joanne,
Your Aaron Carman is in Burlington County about the same time
as a line of English Carmans. I don't see "Aaron" used in the German lines
that I have seen. Mr. H. Stanley Craig's book, "Burlington County, New
Jersey Marriages" (Merchantville, NJ, H. Stanley Craig Pub., 1937)
references the marriage on page 41. Mr. Craig cites the source of the
marriage to be Marriage Licenses, from the New Jersey Archives 1683-1790.
Marriage licenses from this time period often had relatives signing bonds
and witnessing. I would suggest writing the New Jersey Archives for a copy
of the original license.

I would also suggest you post this query to the Carman-l list mentioned
below.

CARMAN is my husbands family line. We have some info but do not know
if
his family is from the German or English families. We have this family
line going back to AARON CARMAN m. Elizabeth Stevenson on April 7,
1759 in Burlington Cty., NJ. Hope someone can help us connect Aaron to his
ancestrial family.
