Hi Jessica!
If you could call your grandfather, Jack, and get from him some basic
information like the name and date of birth of HIS father and mother, I am
sure that we, here on the CARMACK-L list can help you a lot.
If I were you, I would talk a lot with your Granddad and record all the
stories and names, places and dates that he can remember, or has documents
pertaining to...like the family bible, old pictures, all that stuff is so
important and is so often lost to us. I never knew my grandfather..and oh
how i wish I could speak to him now.
If you will talk to Granddad and find out some of those earlier Carmack
names and dates from him, and it is probably that he will remember...then
it is quite possible that we may be able to connect you up to the CARMACK
line all the way back to 1681, where most of the rest of us are stalled at
this moment.
