Cardin: I can't help you with your Jesse. From: THE BURNETTS AND THEIR
CONNECTIONS Vol 2 by June Baldwin Bork, there is just a tad of information
regarding a William CARMACK. The information is about the BALL and SUSONG
families of Washington Co VA & Greene Co TN.
George BALL born Eroupe and in Washington Co VA in 1782,wife name unknown
was killed by the Indians. "The children of George BALL intermarried with
the YEARY family, it is thought that the BALLS Yeary's migrated to
southwestern VA from the Fair-fax-Stafford Cos area. Both families served
in the Rev.
"John BALL s/o George, of Lee Co, wrote his last will 17 Sept 1809,
wittnessed by George BALL, William YEARY, Samuel LOCK and William BRIANCE.
Recorded 28 Nov 1809 (will BK 1:27), in 1815, a 2nd app4raisel of John
BALL'S estate was made in 1815 after the marriage of his widow, Mary BALL
(Mary "Polly" YEARY) to William CARMACK in the late 1814's or early 1815.
John BALL had children:
1 George Washington BALL m. Sarah "Sally" Moore, d/o David & Sarah (COX)
MOORE
2. John BALL Jr. m. Mary----
3. Jesse BALL m. Letitia------
4. Polly BALL m. Redden SMITH
5. Elizabeth BALL prior to 1819 m. Samuel LOCK
6. Martha BALL, d. unmarried 1841 and left a will gave"to my old mother
POLLY CARMACK all my estate....7 whatever is left over to my living
brothers and sisters : George, Jesse, Kissiah GRAY, Susannah SUSONG,
Polly SMITH and Margaret SUSONG. Exec: Redden SMITH & Jacob SUSONG
7. Susannah BALL b. 1799-1881 m. Andrew SUSONG
8. Margaret BALL m. Jacob SUSONG...........
9. William BALL m. Elizabeth---..........
10. Sarah "Sally" BALL; m. before 1819 Jesse RICHARDSON
11. Robert BALL b. 1806; m. ca 1826 Sarah--b. 1810
In 1846, June 15- Lee Co VA Deed Book 10: 339: Andrew SUSONG and Susannah
his wife of Greene Co TN sold all of their rights to the land where
William CARMACK now lives, adjoining Reddin SMITH, and William BALL being
1/10th share of said tract, to William BALL for $50...
Perhaps William CARMACK is related to yours. I would like to know if you
have any information on Mary DOUGHERTY who m. (2) Jesse CARMACK. I am
searching for a John DOUGHERTY b. 1761 NC and came to TN between
1805-1827; he owned land in Monroe Co TN and by 1836 he and son John Jr
were on the Tax list of Marion Co TN (next door to Bledsoe Co). Any
information helpful. Thank you.

Jesse Y. Carmack had the same birthday(1797) as the "so
called" Jesse Ann
Carmack of Tx. John Carmack was born in Fredrick Co. Md. with parents
Cornelius & Jane Carmack---He moved to Washington Co. Va. & on to Bledsoe
Co. Tn. He was m. twice & the last one was Mary Daugherty. He then left
Bledsoe Co. Tn. abt.1840/50 & went to Guilford Co. NC. (were he had
enlisted
for the Rev. War) & at age 74 were he applied for his Rev. War
pension.
While he was in Bledsoe Co. he lived adjacent to Jesse Carmack & wife
Margaret's farm(some think that he is the father because of that)? I think
that John is related to Jesse but not not his father? Can any one show me
that I am right or wrong? I don't have access to Dar files, but they
would
help? John's 1st. wife was named Smith. Jesse would be from
John's wife
Mary, if he is her son?
Jesse was in the Indian Removal Wars,1833 & 1835 & received land in Tx.
because of that service. Jesse is my GGrandfather but I need to find him
some parents?
Any help will be appreciated. TIA Cardin
