For NATF Form 80 write to:
National Archives, Military Services Branch (NNMS)
National Archives & Records Service
8th & Pennsylvania Ave., NW,
Washington, D.C. 20408
This is a note I received from the National Archives:
When submitting NATF Form 80, "Order for copies of Veterans Records,"
please send to the following address:
General Reference Branch (NNRG-P)
National Archives and Records Administration
7th & Pennsylvania Avenues NW
Washington, DC 20408
The (NNRG-P) portion of the address is important for routing purposes; its
use can speed up processing of your inquiry.
If Thomas was CSA you will probably have to go to:
http://www.nara.gov/
and check the records for Texas

The big set of volumes about the ,"War of The Rebellion" includes T. M.
Ferrill. I only know the Series 1 & Volume 18. Does anyone know how to write
to the US archives or even better how to access them on the Net about this?
At least we know he was in the war. Thomas Carmack was born to Polly(former
wife of T. M. Ferrill) in 1863 & giving time for the pregnancy her husband
must have died between 1860(in the 1860 census for Burleson Tx.)& 1862 &
more than likely in the war? Please help. Cardin
