Hi Gail,
The Enoch date was from me. This information was given to me with a bunch
of other material and I have not verified it. The only source for that
particular info was from Charles C. Carmack, Lincoln Pk, Michigan. I
haven't spoken to him in a long time. You might try to find a phone number
and see if he can help. Same for the William death date, the birthdate is
all I had.
Did you have a parent for the children that I listed below? You implied it
was Levi and Elizabeth, is that correct? I have them in my file but the
children are not attached to them. Please let me know.
thanks,
dale

Dale and Joe: I am glad to see someone else researching the family of
Levi
Carmack. My husband is a descendant of his son William b. 1822. (My own
family goes back to the Lundys from VA.) I have a couple of questions:
Does anyone have a death date for William Carmack b. 14 Mar 1822, m 27 Sep
1847 to Nancy Cox? He was still living in 1900 but his wife apparently
died before that date. I have not been able to find any information about
Nancy Cox.
Also, what is your source for the death date of Enoch Carmack (24 Sep
1932)? Part of the family says that Enoch served in the Union Army, was
captured, and died in Indiana. Another family source says that he was
reported killed but was not and that he died in 1932. I don't know who is
correct. This much I do know-- Enoch served as Pvt, F Co, 50th Inf. His
wife Sarah Campbell remarried sometime before 1870. I would be interested
to hear from anyone who is a descendant of Enoch Carmack ( or any of the
other children of Levi Carmack and Elizabeth Peters.)
Best wishes, Gail
