James, I am forwarding this to the list as you intended. The reason it did
not go was that you are not a subscriber to the list, or this is a different
email address than you subscribed from.

Subject: {not a subscriber} Carmacks Henry Co. TN
I have just obtained from a source in Henry Co. TN a photo copy of a
page of a microfilm record of Henry Co. business. Unfortunately the
quality of the copy is poor and the handwriting at times is almost
illegible. However, the information that can be read is of interest and
raises some questions for me that someone may be able to answer. The
page appears to be numbered 119. The title at the top of the page is:
"Records of Bonds(?) Wills .... ..... .... .... State of Tennessee
Henry County."
...suable to an order of Court to .. ..... from the worshipful(?) Court
of said County September(?) ... ..1833 .. the Commissioners have this
day provided to examiners(?) the papers relative to the estate of John
Cormack just(?) Died .... .... of William Cormack j a ddn(?) ....find
the amount of the estate to be $197.48 3/4.
Then another heading:
Contra(?) Credit(?)
example of text:
William A Maddys judgement for $44.-4
Solomon Cormack act (account)? $20.00
a note to Malcomt(?) Mc...... $15.50
Eli Cormack act $2-.50
(rest not pertinent)
I am still awaiting the copy of John's will from the TN State Library
archives. After a month, they have assured me that it will be coming
shortly. Hopefully that will answer the question of the relationship
between John And William Carmack of Henry Co.TN. William, born 1785 in
North Carolina, was residing in Henry Co. in 1830 and had a John living
with him. John's age was 60+ years. My question pertains to the other
two Carmacks listed in the record, Solomon and Eli Carmack. Does anyone
have any information concerning them? From my brother I hear that they
and William came to Henry Co. at the same time, and so may be related
also. If anyone would like a copy of the above record as poor as it is
let me know. Jim Carmack
