Sorry, I do not have anything to help you on this. I wonder if Eli could
have been short for Elizabeth? John (b 1751'ish) was married to an
Elizabeth. The only Solimon I have seems to be the one you referenced below
from NC and I do know who his father is. My information on this Solomon
does not have a birthdate nor a marriage date. However it has his death in
Craven NC. This is what I have:
Descendants of Soloman Carmack
1 Soloman Carmack Died: 14 September 1818 in ,Craven Co, NC
. +Jerusha Daughtry
2 Jesse Y. Carmack Born: 1797 in ,Craven Co, NC
.... +Patience Kent
... 3 Levi Carmack Born: 25 December 1821 in ,Craven Co, NC
... 3 Furnifold Carmack Born: 25 January 1823 in ,Craven Co, NC
...... +Julia Ann Heath
... 3 Kesiah Carmack Born: 06 August 1826 in ,Craven Co, NC
... 3 Thomas Carmack Born: 07 January 1832 in ,Craven Co, NC
Let me know if you hear anything else on this.
thanks,

Subject: Solomon, Eli and Catherine Carmack
In the 1833 Probate record of Henry Co. TN of John Carmack (1751-60
1833), there are two accounts for a Solomon and an Eli Carmack. I have
never seen another ref. to an Eli Carmack. Has anyone else? I have
found references to a number of Solomons and a mystery. Looking thru
old E-mail records, I found a Soloman Carmack named as the son of John
1. He was said to have a son Jesse. In looking at John 1's chart in
the Carmack Cousins Newsletter I found no son named Soloman. Who is
wrong? I found a Solomon Carmack listed in the NC taxpayer list for
1769 and 1790, (Craven County), and I found a Solomon Carmack born in
1792 who married a Jerutha Daugherty on June 3, 1814 in Hardsman Co.
TN. Does anyone have more info on these families which might tie them
to Henry Co. in the early 1800s, or exclude them for that matter?
I also found reference to a Catherine Carmack who married John Barbee in
Henry Co. TN on Oct. 1 1840. Does anyone have info on a Catherine
Carmack born ca. 1815-25?
Thanks, Jim Carmack
